Dear Veteran Advocate,
Consider for a moment having served your nation, including multiple deployments which may have included combat. You have since transitioned out of your military career and can no longer take your worries or legal questions to your JAG Officer. Now, as a civilian, you are facing a legal issue, with all of its ensuing documents and procedures, completely on your own, and unable to afford an affordable attorney. Where would you turn if you needed effective legal counsel to address a situation that was impacting your well being and those whom you love?
Because of tremendous veterans’ advocates like you, more than 6,000 homeless and at-risk veterans have been empowered to remove their legal barriers since Veterans Legal Institute (VLI) humbly began as a grassroots organization five years ago. Compassionate supporters have been vital to VLI’s ability to address wide-ranging civil issues, to restore over $2 million dollars in veterans’ benefits, and to sustain itself as one of the very few public interest law firms in the nation dedicated entirely to current and former US service members.

Virtual event featuring notable speakers from the military, sports, film, music, and more! Includes online silent auction and opportunity drawings!
Join us to champion the legal needs of heroes who defended our freedoms.
We are excited to announce Lawyers for Warriors was originally scheduled for September 21st, and with a resolute heart, it has been rescheduled to November 9th, 2020. It will be a virtual event featuring top tier speakers to be announced shortly so we can raise critical funds for pro bono legal aid while honoring our distinguished awardees and compassionate supporters. We are hard at work to make this virtual event and online auction meaningful and engaging.
Please consider becoming a vital sponsor of Lawyers for Warriors. Because of the pandemic, our veterans are at greater risk of homelessness and suicide. Proceeds from the evening will ensure that veterans can receive free legal services so they thrive.
We look forward to the future where this annual event returns to an in-person evening of fun, networking, wine, cigars, delectable appetizers, and surprises. For the past 5 years, Lawyers for Warriors has sold out, having a full room of over 400 Patriots who represent legal, medical, financial, military, and other professional industries.
For now, we look forward to what the present is making possible for us - the opportunity to welcome even more supporters to build the bridge to justice our veterans have earned through their selfless service to all of us.
This year’s nominees reflect VLI’s mission to provide pro bono legal assistance to homeless, at risk, disabled and low-income veterans that eradicates barriers to housing, education, employment and healthcare and fosters self-sufficiency.
